Cold Comfort is the eighth canonical serial in season 3, and the ninth overall. It sees the return of Captain Greg Kinnear, last seen in the season 2 premiere Active Decay.

Synopsis

The Doctor and Carrie chase the Fatalists’ final attack back to 1908 and find an old friend (David Blue) in the strange aftermath of the Tunguska Blast.

• Like Greg Kinnear, his Time Agent colleagues use celebrity names - Bill Pullman is named for the actor (who, coincidentally, appeared in season 4 of Torchwood) while ZJ is named for Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Production
