Paul Cornell is a writer of TV, film, comics and novels. He is most notable to Doctor Who fans for various novels written during the so-called "Wilderness Years", as as well as the debut serial in the short-lived BBCi revival of Doctor Who, Scream of the Shalka.

Cornell later went on to write the television episodes Father's Day, Human Nature, and The Family of Blood. The latter two of those episodes constitute an adaptation of his Doctor Who novel, Human Nature.

Both versions of Human Nature were adapted for the podcast as a two-part serial, also called Human Nature. The story was adapted and GM'd by Michael Nixon. The story was originally released in three parts on the Patreon feed, then later released on the main feed in two parts. Cornell helped promote both releases by retweeting the Twitter posts about them as they released.
